Do you remember that feeling of sitting in a box, when you were little, only five or so, and feeling like you were going so fast that you were just a blur?
This is one of my characters, originally based off of Red Riding Hood, who finds an old red Motorbike helmet, and thinks that riding in a box with it would be the coolest thing in the world... This is before she builds herself a functioning box car racer (At seven). Here, she's five and is speeding off into the wild blue yonder in her head. : )
I love it! She is such a real person.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful feeling!

ReplyDeleteSo nice of you to stop by! As for Monsieur's coat...it's all done in watercolor with a fine brush. I really love detailwork. Thanks so much for the kind comments!! I appreciate it very much : )
ReplyDeleteI agree with Julie, sounds like a great story in the making! Nice illo, I love the originality and the colors!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of her exhaust! I am also a fan of taking an established character and doing a what if take on him/her. Oh, and I am a fan of your art!
ReplyDeleteKimba
Love all of it, and the smoke colors are genius.
ReplyDeleteI like her. I would've played with her when I was that age, still would, but hope you get my drift. Colors are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I really love the story that goes along with it as well. So easy to close my eyes and picture myself in that box! This is awesome!
ReplyDeleteA lil daredevil...I love your character and the combined seriousness of her purpose and whimsy of her contraption (and the colorful smoke...whimsical exhaust?!). I am so happy you are taking this weekly challenge, and I can't wait to see what's next! I am a fan of your art, too!!!
